All aboard the Thames-Forth Sleeper, a brand-new overnight train connecting London King's Cross to Edinburgh Waverley. Passengers board, settle into their cabins, and drift off to sleep—lulled by the gentle rattle of the carriages and the darkening night.

But the night doesn’t stop darkening. And something is very wrong aboard the Thames-Forth Sleeper.

You're one of the few who wake as the train veers off course. Are you heading home, on holiday—or running from something? Whatever your reason for boarding, you're now an investigator, facing a mounting nightmare. While most passengers dream, a handful must uncover the truth and try to bring the train—and themselves—safely back on track.

Terminus is a Call of Cthulhu mini-campaign: a tabletop horror roleplaying game where your mind is far more likely to break than your body. The odds are slim, but with teamwork, wit, and a touch of luck, ordinary people can achieve extraordinary things.

  • Set in 1927 UK, aboard a claustrophobic, creeping horror ride through the night

Content & Safety

This is a horror game and includes themes of mental health deterioration, body horror, gore, darkness, and claustrophobia. Session 0 will include a discussion of player boundaries to ensure everyone’s comfort—because horror should be thrilling, not distressing.

While the game is set in a time of widespread classism and sexism, no blatant misogyny will be tolerated. Racism from characters will not be present, despite the historical setting.

    Shorter if using pre-generated characters; longer for custom character creation. We'll also discuss tone and content boundaries.
