Somewhere deep in Isle Estraad…
An isolated town is (once again) in need of some assistance. During the
last village you ventured through, you caught a glimpse on a local notice
board. A call for help from Trixie Town, written on old parchment, begs
for help in the promise of “commission pay.” With nothing else to do &
your pockets running dry, you figure why not? Could be a challenge with
even greater reward.
You pack your things & begin to travel towards Trixie Town, traversing
peaceful hills & enjoying the gentle winds of the Isle Estraad
countryside. A few days later, you arrive at the town. The people are
friendly & seem grateful that you’re here. The Trixie Town Mayor has
even come out to bid you a warm welcome, as he takes you to the
towns’ only tavern, The Crescent-Blue-Moon, to give you the details on
why the people need your help…
“Most of our town water has been tainted & our livestock is suffering. We
don’t have many fighters or casters here, so we’re unable to purify what
we drink or address this issue head on. We’re a mining community here,
& our miners reported to me that they saw something down in the mines
that we think could be the cause of this. They’re still a little shook up, but
I trust their word that whatever’s down there is infecting our water supply
& leaking into the surrounding terrain…
Our mines are rich in gold & other valuable raw materials, a lot of which
was left down there by the miners in their escape, & so whatever is
down there is yours to keep, so long as whatever spooked them to run is
taken care of. Never to return for good!! So… what do you say…??”
